People and Culture Advisor

Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure HR practices align with legislative requirements and reflect our organisational values.
- Drive recruitment and retention strategies, collaborating with leaders to ensure the right fit for our business. Develop our teams and promote career pathways within the organisation.
- Provide expert advice on the interpretation and application of HR policies, procedures, guidelines, and employee relations issues to people leaders and staff, in conjunction with the General Manager, People & Culture.
- Build and maintain collaborative partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Work cooperatively and collaboratively with other members of the People & Culture team.
- Ensure consistent application of performance management and disciplinary processes in line with LifeFlight policies, procedures, and relevant EBA’s or Awards, in conjunction with the General Manager, People & Culture.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as a People & Culture Officer with a strong desire to take the next step in your HR career
- Tertiary qualifications in Human Resources or a related discipline (desired).
- Experience in the aviation sector or worked in a similar industry to LifeFlight Australia would be highly regarded.
- In-house recruitment experience with an excellent track record of recruiting suitable candidates.
- An understanding of the Employee Relations (ER) and Award framework, including compliance with legislative frameworks, Enterprise Bargaining Agreements (EBA’s), and Awards.
- Good understanding of HR best practices and employment legislation.
- Experience in coaching and supporting line managers across all aspects of P&C.
- Experience in implementing value-adding processes and improving existing systems.
- High-level interpersonal skills, including verbal and written communication.
- A highly motivated individual who works effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to plan and prioritise workload to meet deadlines.
- Ability to proactively identify employee and business needs and propose value-adding solutions.
- A flexible attitude and adaptable style to meet changing business needs.
