Aeromedical Coordination Specialist

Job No: LFA207
Location: Brisbane

About LifeFlight

LifeFlight stands as a global leader in aeromedical retrieval services, dedicated to assisting critically ill and injured patients across Australia and beyond, ensuring they receive timely medical care.

At the heart of our operations are our Aviation Coordination Specialists (ACS), who manage everything from rapid emergency responses to inter-facility transfers. Working from our state-of-the-art Communications, Coordination, and Control Centre—a 24/7 nerve centre—we rely on our team of ACS to coordinate and deploy our fixed and rotary wing aircraft fleets. Reporting to Duty Tasking Managers, you'll play a pivotal role in orchestrating LifeFlight's operations and serving as a crucial point of contact for both internal and external inquiries.

We're currently seeking an Aviation Coordination Specialist to join our dynamic team based in our Brisbane CBD office. This full-time position requires flexibility, operating on a rotating 12-hour roster of two day-shifts followed by two night-shifts, with four days off in between.

About You

While a general understanding of the aviation industry is desirable, it's not a prerequisite. This presents a fantastic opportunity for those outside the aviation sphere to enter this dynamic industry. You will also have:

•    Excellent customer service skills and a client-centred focus on continual improvement
•    Eager to collaborate within a team environment, adept at both leading and supporting team efforts
•    Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal – with the ability to provide clear, concise information accurately
•    Ability to remain agile in a changing environment and stay calm in high-pressure situations
•    A solid understanding of the importance of attention to detail in reporting requirements
•    Critical thinking skills and the capacity to organise, prioritise, and manage your workload
•    A common-sense approach to problem-solving; solutions-focused and outcomes-driven
•    Relationship and rapport building ability – you’ll be an important contact point for all parts of the business
•    Experience using Microsoft Suite and rostering systems, with the ability to learn new software quickly and accurately
